The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will make a traffic diversion on a sector of Ibn Battuta Street to carry out the work related to the Route 2020 Project.
Eng. Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic & Roads Agency, said, "One lane of Ibn Battuta Street would be closed in the sector between Intersection 2 and Intersection 6. The diversion would remain in place until the completion of the required works."
"RTA has mapped out a plan for traffic diversions required for the Route 2020 Project, which would be implemented in phases covering all areas through which the route passes," she added.
Maitha called on motorists and road users to be attentive to traffic diversions, and comply with the directional signs for their safety and avoiding triggering congestions. "Work on Route 2020 would be running 24/7 until the completion of the entire project," the CEO of RTA’s Traffic & Roads Agency concluded.
