Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood denied reports that there is a dispute between Jordan and Israel over setting up security cameras at Al Aqsa Mosque, describing them as groundless.
In statements to Jordanian Alrai newspaper, Dawood said that Jordan is doing what is necessary in that regard separately from Israel.
Jordan's Awqaf Ministry is still discussing technical arrangements on how it could install security cameras at the Al Aqsa Mosque, he added.
The Awqaf Ministry is the only body authorized to install security cameras inside the mosque, he asserted.
