Qatar's Armed Forces concluded the 7th Constituent Armor Training Course for Officers in the presence of Commander of Emiri Land Forces Major-General Mohammed Ali Ghanim Al Ghanim.The 23-week course was designed to train participants and familiarize them with the latest weapons and equipment used in the field of military sciences through the practical and theoretical training and simulation stages, in addition to providing officers with theoretical and practical training on driving the latest types of tanks and handling their different weapons.
The course, which included officers from the Jassim Bin Mohammed brigade, the tank battalion and the rapid intervention battalion, included a number of theoretical and practical exercises and simulation exercises, as well as training to drive the Leopard 2 tank and handling its sophisticated weapons.
The course focused also on different types of maps reading and compass using, in addition to introducing the participants to the duties of staff and the implementation of a number of tactical and live firing exercises.
