Under the directives of HE Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, Major General Pilot Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training, and Commander of the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF), Brigadier General Mubarak Mohammed al-Kumait al-Khayarin witnessed the end of the joint military exercise (Peace Shield 1) which took place in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of the UAE's Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations. The joint forces conducted a series of exercises, including a number of accurate operations that showed their advanced level of readiness and combat capabilities. The military exercise also demonstrated the level of the joint coordination of the involved armed forces and their ability to work harmoniously in various environments of joint operations. The military exercise has achieved its aspired objectives, including training on planning, executing and administering joint military operations. Brigadier Isa Rashid Al Ali, UAE Armed Forces spokesperson, said the joint military exercise has nothing to do with the regional and international events the region is currently experiencing, rather it is part of already planned joint military exercises.
