Secretary of the Change and Reform bloc, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, said "The government, according to the constitutional, must carry out its duty at the level of the electoral law by approving its draft and referring it to the Parliament, especially in light of the Council's failure to resolve this file for years."
He pointed out, in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon 93.3 radio station, that "the issue is not technical (...) but political starting from the existence of a will to pass a new election law or not."
He said everyone was supposed to feel the seriousness of the stage, pointing out that "Lebanon is at a dangerous crossroads."
