Omani voters headed on Saturday to the ballot boxes to elect 84 members in Majlis A''Shura 7th term elections 2011/2014. The Interior Ministry completed all preparations for receiving the voters as all the election organizing committees across the wilayats. 105 election centres were established across the wilayats. Every centre includes 6-10 ballot boxes that were specially designed to facilitate the voting process, according to Oman news agency (ONA). 518,000 voters were registered across the Sultanate. 1133 including 77 female candidates are competing to win in the elections. All conditions are now ready for receiving the voters after the ballot boxes have received the votes of the Omani voters from the Omani embassies across the GCC countries, in addition to those working in the election committees across the Sultanate. Times of election were determined in all the election centres across the Sultanate that would start from 7 am till 7 pm. This period might be extended, if necessary, ONA reported.
