Means of enhancing Oman-Jordan bilateral ties in diverse fields were discussed at a meeting on Monday.
The Parliamentary Friendship Committee between the State Council and the Jordanian Senate held a session of talks in Amman yesterday.
The Omani side was chaired by Mohammed bin Hamad Al Masroori while the Jordanian side was headed by Nayef Al Hadid, Head of the Omani-Jordanian Brotherhood Committee.
The session of talks reviewed means of enhancing the bilateral relations in all fields and augmenting the economic, industrial, academic and cultural cooperation.
Mohammed bin Hamad Al Masroori stressed the deep rooted Omani-Jordanian relations in light of the many things in common binding the Sultanate and Jordan.
He noted that the Omani-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee plays a key role in enhancing the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields.
The session of talks was attended by members of the Omani-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee from both sides and Khamis bin Mohammed Al Farsi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On the other hand, Marouf Al Bakhit, Acting Speaker of the Jordanian Senate received the delegation of the Omani-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the State Council.
During the meeting, he hailed the bilateral good relations and the keenness of leaderships in both countries to develop and enhance these relations in all fields.
The meeting was attended by Khamis bin Mohammed Al Farsi, Oman’s envoy to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and officials at the Jordanian Senate.
Eng. Atef Al Tarawneh, Speaker of the Jordanian House of representatives received the delegation of the Omani-Jordanian
Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the State Council. The two sides reviewed the strong Omani-Jordanian relations. Eng. Al Tarawneh hailed the Sultanate’s wise policy and wisdom in dealing with regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and members at the Jordanian House of Representatives.
The State Council’s delegation visited the Parliamentary Life Museum during which the delegation viewed pictures and records that document the milestone events in the Jordanian history
