Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali said on Monday her ministry has no objection to issue cards for autistic people to help them receive the services they need easily.
Wali was responding to a request to that effect from the chairwoman of the Egyptian Autistic Society Dalia Liman. She made the remarks during a ceremony organized by the society last night to mark the World Autism Day.
She said the the civil society sometimes precedes the state in assistance offered to autism patients.
"It plays great role in supporting them and offering all facilitations for them," she added.
Suez Canal Authority chief Mohab Mamish, Education Minister Tareq Shawky, Actress Hala Sedky and representatives of Al Azhar and the church attended the event.
