A Palestinian family in Gaza has named their newborn baby 'Morsi' after the victory of the new Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi. Baby Morsi was born on the day of the Egyptian leader was announced the official winner in the Presidential elections last week. The father, 26 year old Ahmed al-Diri said he had chosen the name because he was happy to see Morsi elected as Egypt's new premier. He explained to a Gaza-based Palestinian newspaper that both him and his wife had mutually agreed to name thier newborn after Morsi, who they wished success in his new role. Widespread celebrations took place across Gaza, following the announcement of the Presidential polls.
