Tawfiq Al Salehi, Head of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media and Information Centre and the Head of Nasser bin Hamad Games Tournament's "Nasser 10" High Organising Committee, asserted that the preparations for the event are ongoing according to the plan set by the Committee, which is working effortlessly to make this championship as successful as its predecessors and achieve its goals.
He added: “The High Organising Committee is working on implementing the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to transform this Tournament into a special celebration that encompasses different sporting competitions along with other various activities under one roof.
This year’s Tournament is designed to give equal opportunities to all age groups to participate in this Championship, and we have started executing the roadmap which includes a variety of exciting events and programmes to attract more youth and sports enthusiasts”.
This came during a meeting of the High Organising Committee of the Tournament, chaired by Mr Al Salehi and attended by the heads of the committees. Mr Al Salehi conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser and his deep gratitude for the efforts exerted by all the heads of the committees to make this championship successful. Furthermore, he highlighted HH Shaikh Nasser's keenness in following up on the procedures taken by the High Organising Committee along with reviewing the other additional events which will motivate everyone taking part in this championship to put more efforts.
The schedule of the Tournament was discussed during the meeting, where the participants reviewed the games as well as the additional supporting events that will take place in this year and the proposed dates for the events to kick off.
The committee confirmed the importance of preparing early for the launch of the event's activities and continuing the programmes and competitions to the Holy month of Ramadhan.
The High Organising Committee reviewed the proposed schedule for the Tournament and suggested April as the ideal month to start the championship with the possibility of continuing the tournament in the month of Ramadan and after.
Moreover, the meeting reviewed the championship's sponsors portfolios, which included new companies and other firms that were key partners in previous events.
The advertising campaign for this edition was also discussed in the meeting, which will be innovative and attractive for the audience. As appreciation for the tournament enthusiasts, the Organising Committee discussed the in kind and cash.
