Minister of Information, Dr Ahmed Bilal Osman has called for consensus and coordination to defend the Homeland's interests, underlining that the Country is passing a stage requires giving more attention to national unity through media.
The Minister, who was addressing the inaugural sitting of the Forum of Ministers of Information and Directors of Media Institutions in the States at the Higher Military Academy in Omdurman city , Sunday, said that he attaches great aspirations to this Forum , especially after all in the national dialogue agreed upon a broad national accord government .
The Forum is held under the Theme" Towards a National Comprehensive Information Message" and under auspices of the First Vice-President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, with participation of a number of Ministers, experts and media men.
" The Forum coincides celebration of the Media National Day which was launched by the First Vice-President of the Republic in 2014." Dr Bilal said.
The Minister called for national unity and relinquishing regionalism for confronting conspiracies interwoven against the Country.
He announced that the coming forum would be held in one of the States
