Low-ranking policemen at Cairo airport

Tens of low-ranking policemen at Cairo International Airport ended their two-day strike on Wednesday after Interior Minister Mansour El-Eissawy presented a timetable to meet most of the strikers’ demands. Airport security director Salah Zeyada said that despite the strikes they were able to keep flights on track without delays or complications. Thousands of low-ranking policemen across the country took to the streets on Sunday demanding higher pay, healthcare, better working conditions and fair promotions. Demonstrators gathered in front of Cairo's interior ministry headquarters are also demanding the removal of El-Eissawy and had previously threatened to resign from their posts if their demands were not met by today, Wednesday.
