The mother of the late Dubai Police chief has been given a First Class Medal in honour of her son’s distinguished service to the force.
At the request of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, his replacement as commander-in-chief, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, paid a visit to her to deliver the medal in person.
Maj Gen Al Marri asked Allah to have mercy on the soul of the late Khamis Matar Al Muzaina. He recalled his high morals as well as the noble values of sacrifice for the sake of the country, loyalty, devotion and good citizenship that he represented.
His mother thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his appreciation of men who have contributed to the development of the UAE and have served to protect the country. She expressed her pride in the medal and accepted it on behalf of all Emirati mothers.
