The forum aims to establish the culture of volunteer work and humanitarian giving while creating partnerships between government and private institutions, to adopt humanitarian initiatives that empower youth in volunteer work.
The announcement about the International Youth Giving Forum in Egypt is in harmony with the directives of the wise leadership for 2017 to be the Year of Giving, after the success of the "Youth Giving Forum"
that was previously organised in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, alongside the "Emirates Volunteer Conference".
The International Youth Giving Forum was jointly organised by the Zayed Giving Initiative, Dar Al Ber Society, Sharjah Charity International, the Saudi-German Hospitals Group, the UAE Societal and Specialised Volunteering Programme, and with support from the Arab Foundation for Voluntary, the Arab Society for Social Responsibility and the Arab Institution for Humanitarian Work.
The activities of the launch included a summary about the Zayed Giving Initiative whose influence has extended to different countries around the world while presenting a model for local and international humanitarian giving. Also highlighted were the humanitarian projects of the international giving campaign to treat a million children and elderly people that were previously launched in the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, Indonesia, India and Morocco by the Zayed Giving Initiative along with many government and private institutions.
It also included the honouring of youth entrepreneurs from the UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, India, the Philippines and South Africa who won the Youth Giving Award, as well as institutions that are humanitarian partners.
Dr. Adel Al Shameri, CEO for the Zayed Giving Initiative, Chairman of the UAE Societal and Specialised Volunteering Programme and Head of UAE Doctors, said that the forum has social and humanitarian aspects that work to serve and highlight noble humanitarian causes, as well as find appropriate and timely solutions to problems and issues faced by different communities, in light of the difficult circumstances witnessed by many countries around the world such as struggles, tragedies, social problems and many other issues.
