The fourth periodic meeting of Presidents of the GCC Supreme and Cassation Courts has concluded. The meeting was hosted by Bahrain on April 26 and 27 under the chairmanship of Acting Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Court of Cassation Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari.
Al Kuwari hailed the meeting and its outcome in achieving its goals. Various issues were discussed and appropriate recommendations and resolutions were taken regarding them, including approval of a unified programmes mechanism for judges of the GCC Supreme Courts and Courts of Cassation.
The courts presidents extended cables of thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for Bahrain's hosting of the meeting and for the good welcome and hospitality.
They also thanked, alongside the GCC Assistant Secretary General for Legislative and Legal Affairs Hamad bin Rashid Al Merri, Chancellor Salim Al Kuwari for the distinguished efforts to ensure the success of the meeting.
