Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Essam Sharaf will pay next Friday a visit to Baghdad in a step aimed to launch large-scale projects between the two countries, especially the increasing of Egyptian investments in Iraq during the reconstruction stage. Iraqi Permanent Representative to the Arab League Dr. Qais Al-Azzawi said today that the Egyptian Prime Minister will hold talks with President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and a number of senior officials on boosting cooperation between the two sides in all fields. Dr. Al- Azzawi underlined the importance of this visit which, he said, comes in the context of the strengthening of Arab relations and links, pointing out that it would have a great impact on the promotion of cooperation and activation of the signed memorandums of understanding and agreement on ways to push economic and trade relations.
