Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr arrived in Amman on Monday for a several-hour visit to Jordan where he will meet with King Abdullah II and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. It is the first high-level visit of an Egyptian political official to Jordan after the revolution of January 25. The Egyptian Foreign Minister will brief the Jordanian Monarch on the latest developments in Egypt. The two sides will also discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Arab and regional arenas, particularly with regard to the Palestinian cause and the peace process in the Middle East in addition to the situation in Syria and issues of mutual concern. During his meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Amr will discuss the latest developments in the region and bilateral relations. He will also inspect the Presidential Election Commission at the Egyptian Embassy headquarters in Amman and the election process for the Egyptian citizens in Jordan.
