Egyptian Ambassador to Algeria Omar Abu Eish asserted that Egyptian-Algerian relations are "deep and strategic".
In an Algerian TV show late on Saturday, Abu Eish said the Egyptian-Algerian ties cover economic, cultural and media domains.
There are strong economic relations between both countries based on trade exchange and mutual investments, he said.
He said Egypt participated in all cultural festivals in Algeria while Algeria took part in the cinema and drama festivals in Egypt.
There is also religious cooperation between both states, said he, adding that both countries work on spreading the values of religious tolerance and moderation along with combating extremism doctrine and renewing religious discourse.
He said terrorism should encountered internationally, adding that the Muslim Brotherhood and Daesh are two sides of the same coin.
Abu Eish also lauded the decision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to establish a national council for combating terror.
