A brainstorming session of the young leadership of Dubai Police witnessed the presentation of many diverse ideas, notably establishing a smart police station and a solar-powered hot air balloon to survey security conditions from above.
The session also discussed developing an educational and training process for the Dubai Police Academy to prepare for an environment-friendly police vehicle that runs on solar energy, and a special plan for members of society to become volunteer policeman.
Another idea was presented about working remotely and introducing artificial intelligence programmes in police work, as well as initiatives using social media websites to direct the security and service messages of Dubai Police to the community, as well as robots for monitoring the traffic violations.
Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-In-Chief of Dubai Police, listened a number of suggestions presented by the participants from different general departments and police stations in the areas of criminal, traffic, smart services, future foresight, customer happiness, customer service, institutional excellence and others.
Among others present were Major General Mohammed Saad Al Sharif, Assistant Commander-In-Chief for Administrative Affairs; Brigadier Jamal Al Jallaf, Deputy Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs; Brigadier Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Director of the Future Foresight Centre and Deputy Director of the Decision-Making Support Centre, and a number of Dubai Police officers.
Major General Al Marri praised the presentation of new and innovative ideas, while highlighting the desire to form a youth council from the youth leadership of Dubai Police on an advisory level to collect innovative ideas, suggestions and initiatives and apply them in the real world, to achieve their ambitions in a manner that upgrades the General Command of Dubai Police to apply best police applications, deliver best services to customers and ensure community security.
He added that the brainstorming session was positive, and its participants presented many innovative ideas that were outside of the box and foresaw the future, which "is what the General Command of Dubai Police strives for in order to support and achieve the directives of the wise leadership and achieve its strategy."
During the discussion, Major General Al Marri directed the holding of more discussion sessions with departments and police stations, in order to raise more new ideas that can contribute to Dubai Police’s future strategy and keep pace with all its challenges.
