A transit passenger's attempt to smuggle more than three kilograms of heroin was foiled after his body language gave him away, Dubai Police said. The passenger, A.M.M, had just arrived in Dubai airport's Terminal One from Pakistan and was preparing to leave for Sri Lanka when one of the anti-narcotics policemen noticed his fear, confusion and gait. He was called for a personal search, which revealed four compression bandages around his thighs. When removed, policemen found two transparent plastic bags, with one tied to each of his legs. The first bag contained 1,568gm of heroin, while the second contained 1,588gm, totalling 3,156gm. The man admitted carrying the drugs, which he said he received from an Asian man identified as S.A.H to deliver to an African man whom he was supposed to meet at Dubai airport. The suspect was referred to the Public Prosecution and charged with possessing and smuggling narcotics into the UAE.
