Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dossari has rejected the statement of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on Bahrain as unjustified.
Al Dossari said that the reality and the facts on the ground affirm the Kingdom’s achievements and freedoms in the field of human rights, as well as political participation, peaceful expression of opinion and the consolidation of the principles of equality, justice and rule of law under the reforms launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Assistant Foreign Minister added that the claims and their content on the Kingdom in the annual report of the High Commissioner on his activities are repetitive and that they had been answered, which demonstrates their lack of credibility.
Al Dossari noted that the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom will on Thursday respond in detail to the High Commissioner's statement and will emphasize the legal guarantees and the status of human rights in Bahrain, as well as the accomplishments.
