Algeria condemned an attack against its embassy in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, on Saturday that injured three people, describing the assault as a "crime." Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra said in a statement: "we strongly condemn any act against the Algerian embassy or the Algerian diplomatic missions in Libya or elsewhere. Any assault against a diplomatic mission is a crime according to international law." Lamamra said Algeria was helping the Libyan people be involved in a comprehensive dialogue and reconciliation.
Algeria, he added, welcomed the UN-sponsored dialogue between the Libyan parties that would be held in Geneva
