An Emirati man has drowned and two others have been injured after getting caught in a flash flood in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.According to police, the man, aged 27, Khor Fakkan drowned while his friends managed to escape as a sudden surge of water caught them off-guard as they enjoyed the weather and the scenery on Friday evening. A police official told the UAE daily (Gulf News) that the accident happened in the Wadi Wurayah, a protected area between the Al Bedia area of Fujairah and Khor Fakkan. The three men looked up to find flood-water rushing towards them as they walked in the middle of the Wadi. They ran to escape the water which was full of stones but one of them did not make it and the raging torrent swept him into the valley.
