Commenting on yesterday's announcement by the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE-PAP) that it had immunised 44 million children in Pakistan with polio vaccines in the first three months of 2015, Sheikha Lubna said the UAE's health campaign reflected its tireless efforts to eradicate polio in countries plagued badly by the life-threatening disease, particularly in Pakistan.
The campaign is part of the Emirates Polio Campaign launched under the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa on an initiative by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
The minister hailed the honourable role being played by the UAE-PAP's work team to deliver vaccines to the targeted children.
