Algeria's Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Affairs Mounia Meslem disclosed Saturday that her country is currently considering repatriation of a number of refugees who migrated from crisis-stricken countries.
A number of refugees coming from security instable countries such as Burkina Faso and Niger are to be repatriated in coordination with their countries, Meslem said in a press conference, noting the Algerian government is determined to hold a ministerial meeting to find a solution for refugees and immigrants in the country.
She also said her government registered refugees children, from Mali, in schools in Algeria in accordance to their legal status in the country.
Meanwhile, Meslem pointed out that Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika has ordered provision of aid for Syrian families who fled the crisis in their country, as well as assistance to families wishing to return to Syria.
