Chairperson of Egypt’s Al-Ahly sporting club Mahmoud Taher praised the performance of the football team’s goalkeeper Sharif Ekramy, saying that he is considered one of the best goalkeepers in Egypt’s history despite the mistake he committed during his participation during the first leg match of African Champions League quarter final.
He expressed his confidence that the Egyptian players can win the coming match against Esperance in Tunisia, saying that they enjoy the enough experience to perform such important role during the current period. He stressed that the players should exert their efforts to meet the expectations of their fans in all over the Arab world.
He also expressed his appreciation to the coach of the team Hossam Al Badry saying that he is considered one of the best coaches not only in Egypt but also in the Arab world. He stressed the board’s solidarity with the team during the coming match. He denied any intention to exclude Al Badry from his position if the team failed to qualify for the coming round of African Champions League.
He praised the team’s fans who were keen to attend the training of the players in Cairo, saying that the fans expressed their love to the team. He called the players for bearing their responsibility to make all these people happy on Saturday.
