Qatar's Sports Day is a national festival in which all ministries, institutions and companies operating in the country take part, HE Minister of Youth and Sports Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali said, adding that the wide participation reflects the importance of sport in the Qatari society.
In a press statement at Aspire Zone on Tuesday, the minister said the Sports Day is one of Qatar's pioneering initiatives and embodies the keenness of the wise leadership on the health and well-being of generations by encouraging community sport to be a daily routine for citizens and residents.
Al-Ali stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Youth and Sport to actively participate in the day, which serves its objectives and important initiatives in promoting healthy lifestyles and raising public awareness towards improving health and well-being.
The minister said he, on a daily basis, exercises walking, which, he added, is convenient for people of all age groups.
