Chairman of the Rally's and Motocross Organizing Committee at Sheikh Basel Al-Salem Al-Sabah Club Sheikh Athbi Al-Nayef Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed pride of the club contestants who have performed remarkably in the second round of Qatar motocross championship which concluded late on Friday.
The Kuwaiti rider Mohamed Jaafar won the first place in the (MX1) 450cc category with 100 points in the first and the second rounds, while Muaath Al-Ansari also came in the first place in the (MX2) 250cc category with 87 points in the first and the second rounds, and Abdullah Al-Shatti in the second place for the same category, Sheikh Athbi Al-Nayef told KUNA on Saturday.
The Kuwaiti racers reflected through their performance strong technical abilities as required in this tournament, which was held with the participation of the best racers in the region; highly skilled and experienced in motorcycle competitions, he added.
Sheikh Athbi renewed confidence in all racers of Basil Al-Sabah club, noting that he was looking forward to see them achieve the best results in various future tournaments at all levels.
The second round of the tournament has been held at the Losail circuit under supervision of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation.
