At least six people were killed and five others injured as gunmen ambushed a wedding party in Al-Maslol Bait Al-Meshraqi neighborhood, Suwayr district, Amran Governorate, northwest Yemen, on Friday.
The dead included the groom and five well-wishers and wounded are the bridegroom and four well-wishers, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.
All victims are from the nearby Hajjah Governorate, the statement said, noting that investigations are underway to determine the motives of the attack.
Separately three brothers were shot dead by a gunman in Tor Al-Baha district in the southern governorate of Lahij.
The attacker has been arrested and is being investigated, local security sources said.
