One Sudanese soldier was killed and two others were wounded in clashes between the Yemeni resistance and Houthis in southern Yemen, a Yemeni resistance source said.
The Yemeni resistance, backed by the Sudanese forces, stormed some hotbeds of Houthis and pro-Saleh forces in El Shariga area between Lahij and Taiz governorates on Wednesday, Aden El Ghad newspaper reported.
Clashes continued all through Wednesday and till early hours of Thursday, leaving one Sudanese soldier dead and two wounded.
Sudan sent a battalion 300 officers and soldiers to boost the Saudi-led coalition which was trying to restore Yemeni legitimacy and keep out the Houthis who managed to seize the capital and drive out the legitimate government earlier this year.
In July, the Arab coalition, backed by resistance and Yemeni forces on the ground, managed to retake Aden that became the temporary seat of the government.
