Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has acknowledged that his country was going through difficult and complicated situation, and that it needs an assistance to restructure its armed and security forces in line with to the Gulf initiative, Yemen’s officialh SABA news agency reported. Hadi made the remarks as he met on Tuesday with the Jordanian military team assigned to help the defense ministry to reconstruct the country’s armed forces. During the meeting, Hadi reviewed information about the nature and classifications of the Yemeni army, the circumstances before and after the reunification in 1990, and the integration of the two armies. He talked about the nature of the desired reconstruction at the mountainous, coastal, and desert areas with much focus on marine forces due to the long Yemeni coastline, which extends for more than 2500 km.
