The Saudi-led coalition aircraft launched three air strikes against some sites of Houthi militants and forces loyal to former president Ali Saleh in Taiz city, military sources said on Tuesday.
The airstrikes targeted Houthi sites close to the south-western entrance of the city and also their posts located in northern and eastern Taiz as well as Aoman Mountain, they added.
About 23 Houthi militants were killed in violent clashes with Yemeni army forces and the Public Resistance Committees (PRC)'s members who took control of the air defense camp in the city.
The Yemeni army forces and the PRC's members are struggling to lift siege on the whole city and regain control of all its districts after they managed to secure the road that links Taiz to Aden from the south-west direction.
