Eight civilians were killed in a blast of a landmine in Taiz province in southwestern Yemen, a medical source said.
The mine planted by militias in Taiz blew up at a bus, killing eight civilians and wounding 11 others, the source added.
Seven other civilians, including children, were wounded in a shelling by militias to residential areas in Taiz.
The Yemeni authorities accused militias of continuing to violate the fragile truce that came into effect on April 11 to pave the way for the talks aimed at ending 13 months of fighting between Iran-backed Huthi rebels, their allies loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh and government forces backed by air strikes and other support from the Saudi-led Arab alliance.
Amid truce violations, representatives of both sides have been holding sessions of talks in Kuwait as of Thursday to reach a solution.
