Two people were killed and six others injured in a tribal gun battle near the US Embassy in Sawan district, northern the capital, on Saturday.
Due to tribal feud, gunmen from Al-Zayedi and Al-Qanes tribes exchanged fire while attending the wedding party of a member of Al-Dabaa tribe at the Tourist City Hall.
The fight left two deaths and injured six others, including two security guards, a security source told KUNA.
Security forces arrived to the scene to stop the clashes, the source added, noting that a tribal brokerage has intervened in order to contain the incident in accordance with Yemeni tribal norms.
