Afghan authorities announced the death of at least ten militants from different armed groups in a series of airstrikes in southern Zabul province of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Defense said, in a statement, that the airstrikes were carried out in the past 24 hours in Shahjoi district.
The statement added that the militants were members of Al-Qaeda and Taliban.
The Afghan forces also destroyed a vehicle and five motorcycles that belonged to the militants during the airstrikes.
Zabul is among the relatively volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where Taliban and other armed groups, including ISIS loyalists, are actively operating.
The Afghan authorities increased their security operations in the province after a meeting between Afghan officials and the local residents of Zabul.
