Six Afghan forces were injured and two police vehicles were completely burnt in an attack by Taliban in Badakhshan province . Local authorities in north-eastern Badakhshan province confirms that Police supplies which were being transported to Wardaj district have been attacked by Taliban, according to Afghan (Khaama) Press. Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, spokesperson for 303 Pamir Zone said, "A convoy transporting police supplies to Wardaj district of Badakhshan has been attacked by Taliban militants in Bashan area." He further added that clashes between Afghan forces and Taliban militants continued for several hours and supportive forces were also sent to the site. On the other hand, Abdul Maroof Rasekh spokesperson for Badakshan governor also confirmed the incident and added that six Afghan forces have been injured and two police vehicles have been completely burnt in this conflict. Wardaj is one of the dangerous and unsecure areas in Badakhshan. Taliban has taken the responsibility of this incident had has claimed death of 15 and injuries to 12 Afghan forces.
