At least four militants and one police were killed Tuesday morning in explosions and ensuing gunfight in Asadabad, the provincial capital of eastern Afghan province of Kunar, said a security official. "Four militants stormed the a local bank office building in Asadabad, they seized the bank compound and started firing on surrounding government office buildings at around 10:30 a.m. ( local time)," a security source told Xinhua, adding the attackers and one police were killed in the incident. He said three people including a bank employee were wounded in the incident. The provincial police chief Habbiullah Sayyedkhil told Xinhua that all the militants were killed by the security forces. Details about the casualties will be public later at the day. Security forces have cordoned off the area for precautionary measures while several ambulances and police vehicle were arriving at the site.
