A total of three dozen Taliban militants have been killed across the militancy-plagued Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, Ministry of Interior said in a statement released here on Saturday. "Units of national police backed by the army during series of operations in parts of Nangarhar, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Wardak, Logar, Paktia and Ghazni provinces have killed 36 armed Taliban rebels, injured 18 and captured nine others over the past 24 hours, " the statement added. However, the statement didn't say if there were casualties on the security forces. Taliban militants who launched their so-called spring offensive on May 12 have yet to make comment.
