Some 17 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on day 48 of the continuing Israeli onslaught on Gaza.
Israeli jet fighters launched a series of raids on several areas in the Gaza Strip Sunday night - one of which on Al-Toffah neighbourhood led to the killing of a Palestinian man and the injury of over 10 others.
In the northern city of Jabalia, a mother and her four children were killed in a raid on their home, while two children - a boy and a girl - were killed in an attack on their home in Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in central Gaza.
Israeli fighters also shelled a house in central Gaza's Deir Al-Balah, killing two people, with another two also killed in bombardment that targeted Al-Fairouz neighbourhood in the north.
Palestinian medical sources said that the tally as a result of the Israeli campaign on Gaza has risen to 2,121, including 564 children.
