Israeli troops shot and lightly wounded two Palestinians in the Gaza Strip Saturday, the health ministry of the enclave's ruling Islamist movement Hamas said. A 16-year-old youth was shot near the separation barrier with Israel in Khan Yunis, ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said. Separately, a 36-year-old fisherman was shot while he was aboard his boat in the Mediterranean off Gaza City, Qudra added. The Israeli army said it was not aware of the two incidents in question, but did say troops had opened fire at a Palestinian who was approaching the separation barrier on foot.
