Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot at Palestinian farmers east of Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah in Gaza Strip, on Friday morning.
The northern areas of the city of Khan Younis witnessed heavy firing by the IOF from the military watchtowers adjacent to the citizens' farms, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported. The IOF tanks also fired two shells from Kissufim military base landing on empty fields. No injuries or damage were reported in any of the attacks.
The Israeli occupation army regularly open fires on Palestinian fishermen and farmers along the border areas, despite a ceasefire agreement that ended the 2014 war. The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sectors of the blockaded coastal enclave.
Such practices fall in line with other many violations, including targeting fishermen in the Sea of Gaza.
