At least 11 Israelis were injured Friday when a rocket fired from Gaza Strip directly hit a building in the central Israeli city of Ashdod.
The Israeli radio reported that the rocket hit a synagogue and infiltrated its roof.
The Israeli army spokesman said that over 80 rockets were fired from Gaza Friday on several cities including the capital Tel Aviv.
The rocket fire comes in response to ongoing Israeli strikes on Gaza Strip.
At least five Palestinian were killed in the Israeli raids on Gaza.
Over 2,080 Palestinians were killed and 10,345 were injured in the continuing Israeli war on Gaza Strip since July 8.
