Fresh Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Sunday killed three Palestinians and wounded 20 others, according to medics and eyewitnesses.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry in Gaza, confirmed that three Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes on houses in the Gaza Strip, including two children.
The Israeli airstrikes on the coastal enclave were a response to several rockets fired from the territory into Israel, according to Israeli Radio, adding that no damages or injures were reported.
Minor groups like Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees loyal to Hamas and other less influential groups claimed responsibility for the rockets firing.
However, the armed wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, has not fired any rocket into Israel since a 72-hour cease-fire was agreed upon in Cairo with Israel, which ended on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, rescue workers found bodies of ten Palestinians on Sunday, whose identities are still unrecognized, al-Qedra said, adding that since the 72-hour cease-fire ended on Friday morning, 25 Palestinians were killed and 50 wounded.
"Since the start of the Israeli large-scale military offensive on the Gaza Strip in July 8, the death toll has climbed to 1,928 and around 10,000 others were injured, two third of whom are civilians, including women and children," he said.
According to the official Hamas news agency of al-Aray, a new 72-hour cease-fire was agreed upon between the Palestinians and Israel on Sunday and it will come into effect at midnight.
