Six Palestinians were killed on Tuesday the eighth day of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip bringing to 194 the total toll of martyrs fallen since the beginning of the Zionist aggression while Egypt has proposed a truce rejected by the Hamas movement.
Ignoring the incessant calls of the international community to stop its bombing, the Israeli occupation has led, in the morning, new raids on the town of Khan Younis in the south of Gaza, killing three Palestinians, according to the emergency department of Gaza.
In the same city, two wounded in previous bombings, died Tuesday morning, while in Rafah, also in the south in Gaza, on the border with Egypt, a woman was killed Tuesday by Israeli shelling.
These new victims bring to 194 the number of Palestinians killed in Zionist aggression against Gaza which were also at least 1,400 wounded, according to a recent survey of Palestinian emergency services.
In order to stop bloodshed in Gaza, Egypt which served for several times as mediator between Israel and Hamas, proposed Monday an initiative demanding from the Israelis and the Palestinians to halt the hostilities, as from Tuesday at 6 a.m. (GMT).
This proposal was made shortly before the opening of a meeting of the Arab League Foreign Ministers in Cairo, to discuss emergency bloody Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, the deadliest in years.
Moreover, Egypt proposed to host within 48 hours after the entry into force of the truce, both Palestinian and Israeli high-level delegations to open discussions on its territory.
However, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, the Brigades Ezzedine al-Qassam, rejected categorically the Egyptian proposal of cease-fire. "If the content of this proposal (cease-fire) is exact, this is repetition and we reject it formally," the Brigades said in a release.
