Natalie’s Portman dress that she wore to the Oscars was sold for $50,000 on an auction site. The star borrowed the vintage Christian Dior's spring/summer 1954 red dress with small black polka-dots, from couture dealer “Rare Vintage”. An anonymous British couture collector was the lucky winning bidder of the size 4 strapless gown. Natalie's stylist Kate Young claimed that both she and the actress knew the polka-dotted design was the perfect pick for the Oscars when Natalie tried it on and found that it required zero alterations. Portman is an ambassador for Dior and the face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume.
