Lizzie Cawthray, the former knitwear product developer at fashion brand LK Bennett, has announced the launch of Needle, her own debut range which will be available from August 28. A series of capsule collections will be released by Needle over the season, with the first four pieces of knitwear available to buy later this month from the brand's website. The first capsule collection will include: Milan, priced £195, an extra fine merino jacket, blended with silk and cashmere, combining a knitted jacket concept with a modern boxy fit; Venice, £125, a versatile cardigan created from extra fine merino wool, available in three colours; Florence, £145, a richly textured jumper, available in sand, petrol and pale grey; and Pisa, £125, a long-sleeved extra fine merino knit which includes a statement colour and Peter Pan collar.
