The death toll from the air crash in northern Russia rose to 46 on Sunday after one of seven people who survived the disaster died of her injuries in hospital, officials said. The female victim, who was not named, died in hospital in Moscow overnight where she had been transferred along with other survivors for emergency treatment, the health ministry said. "She had very serious injuries and burns to 60 percent of the body," Sofia Malyavina, a spokeswoman for the health ministry, told the RIA Novosti news agency. Russian officials have pointed to pilot error as the likely cause of the crash, although the investigators have yet to present their conclusions. The RusAir Tupolev 134 with 52 passengers and crew on board crashed into a highway late Monday after missing the runway at its destination of Petrozavodsk in the Karelia region of northwestern Russia in bad weather.
