The State of Qatar has reiterated is strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and its continued violations of the international of human rights and the international humanitarian law, arguing that it reflects a clear message to the international community that Israel continues to disregard all the international efforts to bring peace to the region. This came in speech delivered today by the Third Secretary at Qatar's Permanent Mission to UN Office in Geneva, Jassim Al-Maawdah, before the 21st session of the Human Rights Council on the status of human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories. Al-Maawdah said that Qatar Condemns in the strongest terms the attempts of Judaizing Jerusalem and changing its demographic character and geographic features, emphasizing the call of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, during the International Conference for the Defense of Jerusalem in Doha February 2012, for requesting the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution for the formation of an international commission of inquiry to investigate all measures taken by Israel since the occupation in 1967 in Jerusalem, in order to blur the humanitarian and religious heritage of the Palestinian people. He highlighted the call of Qatar to the international community to shoulder the ethical and legal responsibilities of prosecuting the perpetrators of the humanitarian atrocities against the Palestinian people and bringing them to justice. He reaffirmed Qatar's stance demanding putting an end to impunity, stopping settlement activity and land confiscation by the Israeli occupation forces, stopping administrative arrests and immediate release of all Palestinian prisoners, especially children.
