Two persons were Friday night injured in a grenade explosion at Kamenge in the north of the Burundian capital Bujumbura, a second grenade attack in that neighborhood in only one week, police said Saturday.
"Unidentified people blasted a grenade on a road sidewalk at Kamenge. It was around 20:00 (18:00 GMT). It was near a bar known as Second Life," witnesses told Xinhua.
Burundian Police Spokesman Pierre Nkurikiye said two persons were slightly injured, adding that they were rushed to hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday night, people riding a motorbike blasted a grenade inside a car at Kamenge, killing one person and injuring four others.
Most of the victims were members of the same family.
