The visit of Turkish President, RecepTayyip Erdogan, to Sudan is historic and represents a landmark in the relations between the two countries in all fields, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour .
In a joint press statement with his Turkish counterpart, Mouloud Gawishoglu, following the Turkish President's arrival in Sudan, Gandour said Erdogan's visit to Sudan, which came in response to invitation of the president Al-Bashir, will lead to enhancement of the relations between the two countries, politically, economically, culturally and socially.
'The visit came at a time when the nation needs to cooperate and support mutual issues, he added .
Meanwhile, Turkish the Foreign Minister Mouloud Oglu said that Erdogan's visit to Sudan is the first to Sudan .
